Local Snapshots

🧼 Chattanooga’s First Zero-Waste Refillery

Chattanooga's first dedicated zero-waste refill store, Full Circle Refillery, is set to open on July 12 at 2312 E Main St.

Owned by Tiffany Grandstaff, the store aims to significantly reduce single-use plastic waste by offering refillable household and personal care products like soaps, detergents, shampoos, and more.

Customers can bring their own containers to fill, paying by weight, or purchase reusable ones at the store.

Be sure to swing by their grand opening event on July 12 from 11 AM to 3 PM!

🍻 Naked River Brewing Company Closing Down

Naked River Brewing is closing its Reggie White Blvd location for good on Sunday, July 20. Since November 2018, they have aimed to create a welcoming space for community gatherings over craft beer and BBQ.

They have faced challenges over the years but have maintained their mission, creating cherished memories through brewing, BBQ classes, and supporting causes.

They will host a final party on Saturday, July 19, and are encouraging patrons to help finish their beer supply. Be sure to swing by before they close up shop!

🏮 Water Lantern Festival

Experience the magic of the Chattanooga Water Lantern Festival this Saturday, July 12, at Chester Frost Park.

From 6 PM to 10 PM, enjoy food trucks, live music, games, and the chance to design your own lantern. As the sun sets, release your lantern onto the water and watch it join thousands of glowing messages floating across the lake.

Bring the whole family and help light up the night. Tickets start at just $30.
