🚨 Tax Free Weekend

Tax-free weekend starts this Friday, July 25, and will run through midnight on Sunday, July 28.

During that window, clothes, school supplies, computers, and more can be purchased without having to pay sales tax. Be sure to check out this list of exempt items before you go shopping!

This is a great chance to stock up on supplies and get ready for another school year!

🐒 Tennessee Aquarium’s Newest Resident

Meet Kintana, the newest resident of the Tennessee Aquarium’s Lemur Forest!

This two-year-old Red-collared Brown Lemur just arrived from the Dallas Zoo and is already bonding with her new exhibit companion. Lemurs are social animals, so her arrival is a big win for the species and the Aquarium’s conservation efforts.

Kintana is curious, playful, and full of personality. Here are a few pictures of Kintana. Be sure to swing by sometime soon and see her in action!

💰️ A $35 Million Garage

Chattanooga Airport is getting a second parking garage to keep up with record-breaking growth.

With more than 58,000 passengers in June and new direct flights from Spirit Airlines, the current garage is nearly full. The new four-story garage will add 1,600 spaces and is expected to open by January 2027.

State funding will cover 95 percent of the $35 million project. Airport leaders say the expansion will improve convenience and hospitality as travel demand continues to rise.
