I hope everyone survived the first day of school! It’s hard to believe that summer is in the books and a new year is underway.

Thankfully, college football is just 16 days away!

🏞️ Cherokee Cultural Celebration This Weekend

Red Clay State Historic Park will host the Cherokee Cultural Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, August 9–10, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The event will feature traditional dancing, food and craft vendors, and demonstrations by members of federally recognized Cherokee tribes. On Saturday, a rehabilitated hawk will be released near the Council House.

Held on the historic Cherokee council grounds, the celebration offers a unique opportunity to learn about Cherokee history and culture directly from tribal members. Admission is $5 per vehicle.

🍗 Wing and Beer Week Is Back

Chattanooga Wing & Beer Week returns August 25–31 with $8 wing specials and $4 local beers at restaurants and breweries across the city.

From classic buffalo to creative flavors, you’ll find wings worth the mess and craft brews to match. Check in at participating spots using the official Wing Week app for a chance to win $200 in gift cards.

It’s the perfect excuse to explore Chattanooga’s food scene while supporting local businesses.

⚓️ Nina and Pinta To Dock This Fall

It was just announced this week that the replica ships Nina and Pinta will dock at Ross’s Landing from October 31 to November 24.

Weekend visitors can explore both ships during self-guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM. Weekday guided tours are available by appointment for groups of 15 or more.

Built by hand using historical methods, the Nina has been called the most accurate replica of Columbus’s ship ever made. Tickets are $10 for adults, with discounts for children, seniors, and military. While you’re waiting for the ships to dock, check out some pictures!
