🏄‍♂️ Chattanooga River Games Return This Weekend

The Chattanooga River Games, the South’s largest extreme sports and music festival, kicks off this weekend (August 15–17) at Ross’s Landing.

This free three-day event features high-energy competitions in climbing, high diving, wake surfing, and highlining over the Tennessee River. Families can enjoy BMX jumps, bouldering walls, skate zones, and more hands-on activities.

Each night ends with free live music and DJ sets. Founded by professional cliff diver Travis Sims, the festival began as a cleanup-focused cliff diving tour and has since removed over 40,000 pounds of trash from waterways, including 15,000 pounds in Tennessee.

If you’re planning to attend, be sure to check out the schedule and map ahead of time.

🧙‍♂️ Rock City Unveils Its First Rebrand In 25 Years

For the first time in 25 years, Rock City has introduced a fresh new look that brings its resident gnomes into the spotlight.

The updated branding includes a new logo, color palette, and typography, now featured on signage, uniforms, marketing materials, and a redesigned website. Visitors can also enjoy playful gnome statues and a reimagined Gnome Quest that adds a new layer of storytelling to the gardens.

While the branding has been refreshed, Rock City’s mission to create memories worth repeating remains unchanged, and the iconic red barn signs and birdhouses will continue to welcome guests.

🍻 Pax Breu Ruim Is Closing Its Doors

Pax Breu Ruim, the popular bar on Chattanooga’s Southside, will close its doors for good on August 19.

The bar is offering half-price spirits now through its final day. On August 19, they’re throwing one last party with a free concert featuring Obelisk and Kasvot Chattanooga.

It’s a chance for regulars and new faces alike to raise a glass and celebrate one of the city’s most unique hangouts before it’s gone for good.
