Happy Thursday!

How are we feeling about this weather lately?

Cool mornings, sunshine in the afternoon, windows down, sunroof open kind of days. It feels like Chattanooga is right in that sweet spot where being outside is just easy again.

It looks like we might get some rain mixed in, so maybe keep an umbrella nearby.

Let’s get to it!

Local Snapshots

🏡 Buying A Home in Chattanooga Just Got Easier

The City of Chattanooga just made it a little easier to buy your first home.

The city is rolling out a new down payment assistance program offering up to $15,000, and if you combine it with state support, that number can go up to $21,000.

It is structured as a zero percent interest loan with no monthly payments, which is about as approachable as these programs get.

If buying a home has felt just out of reach, this might be worth looking into.

🎓 Students Just Got a Fast Track Into Healthcare Careers

Hamilton County Schools is expanding its partnership with Erlanger Health System to give students a real shot at stepping straight into healthcare careers. Not someday, but while they are still in school.

At the North River Future Ready Center, students can begin working toward their licensed practical nurse certification, alongside other hands on programs like automotive, culinary, and digital design.

It feels like a much more practical approach, where students are not just learning, they are actually building something they can use right away.

🎸 Road to Nightfall Finals

If you like discovering local music before everyone else does, this is the one.

Four bands are competing at Barrelhouse Ballroom for a chance to headline Nightfall this summer. The energy is always high and the crowd actually matters in the judging.

Doors open at seven and it runs through the evening.

🎪 Stop Throwing Events Nobody Talks About

Kids enjoying Playful Evolving Monsters Giant Puppets

Most events look the same. Same setup, same booths, same energy. People show up, walk around, and leave without remembering much.

Their giant, interactive puppets move through the crowd, pull people in, and instantly become the thing everyone notices. Kids run toward them. Adults stop, laugh, and pull out their phones. Suddenly your event has a moment people actually talk about and share.

This is not decoration. It is a built in crowd magnet.

If you want people to stay longer, engage more, and leave saying “that was actually fun,” this is how you do it.

Ready to make your event the one people remember?
